Cold: (n) The response to 'Why Can't I Feel My Face?'

Work Update for the Week:

We spent pretty much the whole week contacting everyone on the Branch list. Easier than I've had to do is past areas as the list is a smaller one. But we ended up stopping by everyone. There are one or two we haven't met still but we've called and stopped by everyone. The main goal with it is to compile a solid list of information/notes on everyone. Wellsville Branch seems to be missing that. That way we can find out who is the Super Potential, little potential, no potential and the "Get off my porch" with a shotgun potential. With that, we called up some of the former missionaries that have served in Wellsville recently to get the inside scoop on everyone. Figure out what has been done and what hasn't been done. That way we aren't trying to reinvent the wheel. Or that every new transfer missionaries are wasting their time visiting the same non-progressing Less Active Members.

We met one Less Active Member that we should be able to start visiting. He has high anxiety and high depression. One of his big anxieties is going to church. But apparently he will come on occasion. Super nice guy. We'll at least be able to read some scriptures with him and stuff like that. He used to be a Physicist until he had a mental breakdown.

Our really full of potential family? I'm sure I mentioned them... She was Less Active Member, non member fiancee, a 16 year ol' boy, 13 year ol' girl, 11 year ol' girl all non members? They were awesome. So much potential. Sadly, they dropped us this week. We kept trying to get a hold of them to schedule another appointment and finally they told the Senior Couple that they were no longer interested in learning. It was a super sad day. The kids have a ton of potential.

Soap Box Moment: Teenagers and kids from like the age of 9 - 16 are the hardest to teach. Only because I just want them to accept the Gospel sooooo much. Because I know that if they do and they live it, their life will be soooo much better. They'll stay out of trouble in high school. They'll go to college. They'll get a degree. They'll make it in life. It's not a guarantee but the Gospel does such a great job in pointing them in that direction. It's hard to teach them because I know how much they can benefit from it and it breaks my heart if they don't accept it or the kids don't.

It was a slow week. Pretty much from here on out will be tracting and visiting those last 3-5 families we haven't gotten a hold of yet.
