Stake Conference

Well, another week has past!

This week we had stake Conference which was pretty cool. They made a huge deal about the Adult Session and were hoping to get 600 people there. They got real close or maybe even hit 600. Not sure. haha! But it was a good little session about Hastening the Work. Apparently, Churchwide all the Stake Conferences should be about Hastening the Work for now on. It was pretty good. President Pace (The Stake President) is awesome! He shared his vision of the Buffalo stake with the whole Stake. It was really cool and made me feel tons better about the missionary work here. He is about mid 40's and was saying when he was a kid all of the NYRM (NY Rochester Mission) was one stake and now it is 3 stakes. He also talked about how Buffalo stake should be 3 stakes. That certain church buildings were dedicated as Stake centers and will one day be stake centers. He talked about how much the area has grown in just 40 years. Which makes it nice to know that as a seed planting missionary, there are actual seeds planted then. That they will be harvested and the work will go forth " go forth bodly, nobly and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country and sounded in every ear."

Elder Russon got sick on Wednesday. Which wasn't bad. Poor guy has kind of been sick all week. But it was bad Wednesday. So we had to stay in while he recovered. I lost all sanity. Read scriptures, cleaned, wrote a letter or two, read more scriptures, marked reference scriptures, banged my head on the wall... haha! I get stir crazy too easily.

No crazy stories of cutting up deer this week. It was kind of a chill week. Today sounds like it will be a real P-day that we can actually relax and have some fun to take off the stress and what not. We should be going up to Niagara Falls with tons of the other missionaries nearby. Carpooling and what not since Lancaster Elders are over on miles and just don't have enough.

We got sick of paying for it so we cut our own hair. Didn't turn out as bad as I thought.

Still going. Still working hard. Still trying to find people to teach. Hope all is well back home!
