Super Bowl Investigator

Well another interesting week!

Started out last Monday where for P-day we went to go laser tagging with a recent convert. That was way sweet and he paid for it! Was way nice of him and a fun relaxer. He's pretty chill guy.

The rest of the week was pretty uneventful. We met with Andy. He is still doing well. We are going to start the 15 step program with him tomorrow. The 15 step program is a Stop Smoking in 7 days program that was created by missionaries for missionaries only. It's had a significantly high success rate and has also had a large success rate of smoking quitters then joining the church. So all should go well there.

Funny story. So Andy, being the sports fanatic that he is was begging us to come over and watch the Super Bowl with him and his family/friends. Which we thought "Okay... We'll ask. But there is no way they'll let us." Well... They let us. Kind of. We saw the first half ha! Even with my interest in football I did not pay attention to too much detail other than to talk with everyone about the game to keep the conversation going. It was an extremely successful visit though because now the family seems to like us and should be pretty okay with us meeting with Andy and trying to help him make all these life decisions. Definitely worth while. Andy even did not drink any beer for the game! He stuck with pepsi because of his commitment to trying to take steps towards living the Word of Wisdom. That was pretty fantastic!

I did end up getting sick Wednesday morning and had to reschedule with one of our investigators. But he still came to church so that was great! We also had another investigator reschedule with us. So a couple appointments fell through. But oh well.

Went to the doctor's today and he said that my knee problem was just something with my body alignment and not anything bad. That I just am going to have to learn to deal with it and try to strengthen my upper leg muscles to see if that helps balance everything out. So the more I walk, I just have to keep popping those ibuprofens. Oh well. It's not that bad of a pain. Just uncomfortable.

I do have to talk in church this next Sunday. And.... sing. Of course. Apparently I actually move my voice up and down almost correct intervals. I just am off on the notes. SO maybe after 2 years I might actually be able to hide my voice with everyone else singing and not sound atrocious. The blessings of serving a mission? Haha!

Weather out here is still cold but we might be hitting a warm spell. Of high 20's. Yes that is extremely warm. We have little "dust devils" but with snow. It's crazy! Trying to stay warm too ha!
