Winter is definitely in sight. The temperature is dropping quick and the clouds are coming in to stay. Utah has the nicest weather, I've decided.
We had the cool opportunity to sit down with the Stake Patriarch for Rochester. He was a convert to the church when he was in his 20's. After that, He has spent a lot of his free time (as a hobby) studying the Gospel. Basically, He's got a lot of insight. He has developed presentations on various things (Exterior Temple Symbolism, Temple at the Time of Christ, Egyptian hieroglyphs and Christianity, etc). So we got the cool opportunity to see some of the presentations. We went over the Temple at the time of Christ this week. Can I just say HOLY CRAP! The temple (now) makes a TON more sense. Not to mention it makes me question pretty much every other religion! I don't understand how they are missing some of the key points in Christ's church and how he organized it. Anyway, SUPER cool things. Lots of stuff makes so much more sense. Some of the symbolism makes so much more sense. It was very intriguing.
A miracle of this week is we have a girl interested in being baptized. She is the 12 year old daughter of a Less Active Member that we work with. There are some major concerns such as the fact her mom is a Less Active Member and if she understands what it means to be baptized. So we plan on trying to work really hard with her because we don't want to baptize a Less Active Member. Hopefully we can convince the ward to jump on this and actually be helpful.
We went on exchanges with the Zone Leaders this Thursday. It was...interesting. They are interesting people.
Have I mentioned Wegmans? I'm a fan of Wegmans. It's about the same price as Walmart but is nicer than like Smith's. Super classy store.
