Bring in the Jews

Monday we had a pretty fun P-day! We recruited the senior couple. It wasn't anything too elaborate but it was fun to get everyone together. Both set of sisters got to come which was good for them. Sister McLaren and Sister Stoddard were freaking out because they got to wear jeans and they hadn't worn jeans in months. Crazy crazy sisters. The other pair came in matching shirts about "Its all good in the hood." And had Mr. Rogers on it. As part of trying to get McLaren and Stoddard to have more fun I told them they had to report their "Fun Activities" as a key indicator on Sunday night. So they did! They wrote them all down and called us. Went through them all. Some weren't exactly what I'd deem as fun but it seemed to get them finding more joy in their daily routines.

This week we went to Buffalo and Niagara Falls' district meetings. It was cool! Got a chance to get to know more about the people the different missionaries are working with.

We had a scavenger hunt in downtown buffalo on Thursday! It was pretty fun. It actually warmed up! We split up into two groups and had to take a bunch of selfies with things that we had to find based on the clues. Of course our group won! Haha! As a reward I got gnome. I got some funny looks carrying a gnome around downtown. The finish line was a coffee shop. The girl working there just laughed at me haha it was pretty funny!

Got to go on exchanges with Elder Prom. He is a character! There is no explaining him. He is 24. He also had surgery on his ear that ruined nerves on half his face. So he has to talk through the side of his mouth. But he is super super hilarious!

Sunday we had a huge group of Jews come to our meeting. From the interfaith stuff. They came to ours and we are going to theirs on Friday. Super cool. Except they definitely called me Friday night and asked me to talk on the Godhead. Keeping it super simple. I was super nervous. But the one kid said that he enjoyed my talk and liked how I explained the simple and basics without being condescending. So that seemed to work out better! It was cool. They left after Sacrament Meeting but it was super cool. I learned how they keep the Yamikas on their head. They use bobby pins.

Chick-Fila!! So there definitely isn't any of that or Krispy Kremes in the mission. But our favorite investigator Matt definitely picked some up on his trip back from PA! And brought us some. We feasted on the desirable food.

Same old week but still pretty cool!

President definitely called us on Monday and said he was coming over for an hour on Thursday. Had me on full anxiety. Crazy stuff. He ended up just wanting to get details on everyone in the zone but I was super scared. It all worked out. It was kind of weird. I'm still getting used to being around President.
