We had an investigator at church!!!

I got sick last Wednesday and they made me stay home until I was doing better. It was frustrating to sit still. I was all determined to read scriptures and study so that I was staying productive. I completely crashed and woke up later feeling better so that was good.

All is well out here though. Frank is coming back to church and really seems to be excited with the Gospel again. It's really exciting and I'm not worried about him at all anymore! Next stop, the temple for him! He is awesome! He is already helping a ton and has taken it upon himself as being a servant of the Lord. Which is awesome!!!

We had an investigator at church!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! It's pretty crazy! But we were way excited! He only stayed for Sacrament meeting but seemed to like it. Surprisingly. Our Elderly Missionary couple gave two talks at church and they were... odd... hahaha plus you couldn't quite hear them that easily because they weren't talking too close to the microphone. But he enjoyed it none the less! It was a blessing he only stayed for the first hour though because that kept him out of the extremely weird and extremely awkward Law of Chastity lesson that we had in Gospel Principles... Plus the usually kind of odd lesson in Elders Quorum. Needless to say, we have interesting Sundays.

But basically our only REAL investigator is Joe. Joe is the one that came to church. He is just looking for something. A place in the Universe. The Lord is helping out a ton on this one because Elder Lewis and I aren't experienced teachers at all. All we have is potential investigators or Less Actives. We don't have a ton of teaching opportunities.... It's a hunting mission and not a fishing mission for sure. (1 prey instead of casting your nets for the 400 fish). But that's okay! Whatever I can do to help.

We also ran into this awesome lady and her daughter. They are awesome! I'm way excited that I got a chance to meet them. We are still trying to get them to investigator status because right now they are just kind of all "Hey these guys are great friends." Her daughter is crazy talented and just way awesome! So I'm hoping we can help them receive the Gospel so that this girl can take her potential and talent that she has (and while leaning on the Gospel to keep her out of trouble) and really go places with it! It's just like "Hey, you really need this message... So listen up!" But sadly it doesn't work QUITE like that. hahaha oh well!

Ummm... if any of you wants to send church music CD's... I wouldn't even be mad. Because... ya... Music is a need! For all you that questioned me back home, I have used all those conference talks on my iPod a bunch! So has my companion and the other two in our apartment! Ye all of little faith! hahaha It comes way in handy! I'm actually converting to country music a little. There is some cool Gospel country music. Including one off of EFY 2012... IT's like song number 7... Maybe I'll send a link. I think mom would like it. I don't know. hahaha So hint hint Trent... If you want to convert me to Country here is your chance. I just need some upbeat gospel music. All the calm calm calm stuff is driving me insane.

Anyway... All really is well. I don't know what else to talk about. The Work has slowed down a ton because of loss of a car. But oh well. We are still able to do things.

Ummmmmmmm..... yep! It's getting cold and the leafs are changing! It's looking pretty sweet out here. Maybe I'll attempt with the point and shoot to try and capture something of it. It's pretty sweet. It's like going up into the mountains back home but you are actually right in the middle of the city. Who would have thought you could have so many trees? It's pretty cool.

Church is true!
The Book of Mormon is still awesome. And getting quite smaller as I learn more and more about the various little awesome snippets in it.
