Started out with the crazy winter storm on Tuesday. It was a white out from all the snow being blown around. Our area actually didn't accumulate more than maybe 6 inches. But other areas got 2-3ft. But it was -30 windchills so we were told to stay in. Mostly because we are walking around and the buses might not have been going plus they aren't that useful, we still walk most of the time. Elder "Brown" Allen and I got pretty stir crazy and they had a truck so we went out that night to shovel a couple people that asked help. One was a referral. She enjoyed our service but very quickly said no about listening to our message. It was cold. ha!
Last Saturday all crashed and burned with our two Asians that should have been getting baptized in like 2 weeks. They pretty much dropped us but the door is still open for maybe missionaries getting in a couple months down the road. It was a really depressing night for us. When going through our weekly numbers over the course of this transfer the area has gone from tons of potential and progressing investigators to a whole lot of Zeros across the board. It's a little discouraging but just puts us back to square one of finding.
Transfer calls were last night. Elder Allen is leaving and my new companion is going to be Elder Angel? No idea on that one. So I guess we'll see how he rolls this week. It's been an interesting morning because Elder Allen is quite cluttered and is trying to fit all of his stuff in his suitcases and such. Other than that I'm still in North Buffalo and will be for a while. Flying quite under the radar from everything. Elder Lewis (my trainer) who is only a little older than me (2 transfers) just got made Zone Leader.
