Week of Miracles

This week has had a couple cool miracles.

First miracle: We are invited to go to a orchestra concert for one of the members at Alfred State. They tell us to come early and meet at their dining hall so we can grab some dinner. We were all "Sweet! Free dinner." So we show up. Finally find the food court. Here is the miracle: TACO BELL! There is a Taco Bell in our area! We thought there wasn't one in ours or Hornell's area. We were so excited. Tears were shed.

Second Miracle: At the choir concert we were also invited to, we found a Less Active Member! She noticed us. She was actually part of the choir. And her mom is a member of the Canandaigua ward that I served in. So I messaged her mom. Hopefully we can start meeting with her or what not.

Third Miracle: Aundey. She is still a struggle. But definitely overcoming some hurdles. The main thing is trying to evaluate if she is progressing or not. Because she has been meeting with the missionaries since the dawn of the dinosaurs. But she really does seem to be progressing. We finished helping her declutter her house.  Well... her main floor. And we didn't declutter... We just bagged all the extra clothes and shoved it into the shed. Which I kid you not was like 40 freakin' bags of clothes and shoes. Garbage bags. Big ones. She said she honestly thinks she has around 500 dresses. So far in debt from buying clothes. She is still focused on guys. But she is reading everyday and asking questions that make us think she is progressing. (Also questioning what the missionaries used to teach her?).

Fourth Miracle: We go to visit this Less Active Member. Well, she has 3 kids. 16 year old son (slight, slight mental problems), 13 year old girl and a 10 year old girl. And a fiancé. We sat down with them. Had the full family there. Taught the Restoration. They asked questions. We left them all with Book of Mormons and asked them to read. It was super awesome! So CALLING ALL PRAYERS. Wellsville Branch needs a family to grow. They need this family. If we can get over the hump and get a family in Wellsville, it will domino effect. Then Wellsville will be able to grow. So I'm calling all prayers! Pray that their hearts will be softened. That the fiancé's heart will be softened. It HAS to happen. Fingers crossed. We are pulling out all guns on this one. Going to teach PERFECT lessons with every trick in the book.

We got to go to the temple this week as well. Always good! Always nice to visit the temple.

The Millers (Senior Couple) are still super chill. Gotta love them. They are "Sick!" as they like to make fun of us for our slang.

We got a cool chance to talk with like 4 different people we play hoops with in Alfred. Talked to them basically just about how they have to figure out if God is real. That it's a personal journey. That they have to pray and read the scriptures. Explained to them our purpose as missionaries. They were super chill about it. (It definitely works to be chill with them before we try teaching them.)

Elder Glenn talks a lot. Haha it's been quite an adjustment from the past 18 months. Usually, I'm the one that has to do all the talking because my companion is completely checked out during the lesson.

Lisa is still progressing. It looks good. Just got to see if she understands it all and understands the commitment.
